String bean casserole
Ingredients/Components
- grated cheese - 1/4 c
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- buttered bread crumbs - 1 item
- red pepper to taste - 1 item
- bacon, uncooked - 1/4 lb
- cans string beans French-style - 3 item
How to make string bean casserole:
Preheat oven to 350°. Rinse and drain beans. Mix beans, soup, chopped bacon, cheese and pepper together in a mixing bowl. Be sure that all ingredients are mixed well. Mixture will be juicy. Butter a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish, then place mixture in dish. Sprinkle a light layer of bread crumbs on top. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until edges turn golden brown and mixture begins to bubble.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Green/yellow beans.
