Streusel-filled coffee cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- sifted flour
- soft shortening - 1/4 c
- butter, soft - 2 Tbsp
- Stir in milk
How to make streusel-filled coffee cake:
Mix sugar, shortening and egg together thoroughly. Stir in milk. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in mixture.Streusel Mixture:1/2 c. brown sugar2 Tbsp. flour2 tsp. cinnamon2 Tbsp. butter, soft1/2 c. chopped nuts Mix ingredients together. Spread half of cake batter in greased 9-inch square pan. Sprinkle with half of the Streusel Mixture. Add remaining batter and sprinkle remaining Streusel over top.
