Streusel-filled coffee cake



  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • milk - 3/4 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • firmly packed brown sugar
  • sifted flour
  • butter, melted
  • margarine soft - 1/4 c

How to make streusel-filled coffee cake:

Streusel Mixture:1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar2 Tbsp. flour2 tsp. cinnamon1 1/2 Tbsp. butter, melted Mix sugar, margarine and egg together until well blended. Stir in milk. Add flour, baking powder and salt and mix well.

Mix the four streusel mixture ingredients together in a small bowl.

Spread half the batter in a greased and floured 9-inch square or round pan. Sprinkle with half the streusel mixture. Add the rest of the batter and then the remaining streusel mixture. Bake at 375° for 25 to 35 minutes.

Double all ingredients for a 9 x 13-inch pan.
