Strawberry pie

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• pkg - 3 oz
• cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
• water - 1 c
• Cool Whip - 8 oz
• fresh strawberries - 1 qt
• baked 9-inch pie shell - 1 item

How to make strawberry pie:

Blend together cornstarch and sugar. Combine with water in saucepan. Cook until thickened, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat; add Jell-O and stir until dissolved. Allow to cool. Spread berries in pie shell; slice, if desired. Pour cooled Jell-O mixture over berries. Chill for 2 to 3 hours. Garnish with Cool Whip at serving time.
