Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • chopped nuts - 3/4 c
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Cool Whip
  • Ritz crackers, rolled very fine - 14 item
  • fresh or frozen strawberries - 1 qt

How to make strawberry pie:

For Pie, separate eggs. Mix 4 stiffly beaten egg whites with one cup sugar, added slowly; beat until stiff. Combine baking powder, crackers, and nuts to egg mixture. Place in a well-buttered 9-inch pie tin and bake for 40 minutes in a 325° oven. Cool. For the filling, mix strawberries with Cool Whip and place on top of pie shell.
