Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • cornstarch
  • water - 1/2 c
  • melted butter - 2 Tbsp
  • whipping cream - 1 item
  • sliced strawberries - 2 c
  • strawberries, cleaned - 3 doz
  • warm 9-inch baked pie shell - 1 item

How to make strawberry pie:

While pie crust is warm, sprinkle with melted butter and 2 tablespoons sugar. Place whole berries, tips up, in circles inside crust. In saucepan, combine remaining ingredients and bring to gentle simmer. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, until thick and clear. Pour glaze over berries in pie. Chill pie. Serve topped with whipped cream. Serves 8.
