Strawberry coffee cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- chopped pecans - 1/4 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- butter, melted - 2 Tbsp
- cold butter - 1/4 c
- sliced fresh strawberries
How to make strawberry coffee cake:
Topping:1/2 c. flour1/2 c. sugar1/4 c. cold butter1/4 c. chopped pecans In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients. In another bowl, combine the egg, milk and butter. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Pour into a greased 8-inch pan. Top with strawberries.Topping: Combine flour and sugar in a bowl; cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in pecans; sprinkle over strawberries. Bake at 375° for 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cut in squares. Serve warm. Yields 9 servings.
