Ingredients/Components

  • brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • cornstarch - 1/3 c
  • ground ginger - 2 tsp
  • red wine vinegar - 3 Tbsp
  • soy sauce - 1/2 c
  • red pepper sauce - 1/4 tsp
  • dry cooking sherry - 1/2 c
  • garlic cloves, crushed optional - 4 item
  • broth beef or chicken

How to make stir-fry sauce:

Mix ingredients. Will freeze into 3 or 4 servings. To use, thaw one serving. Cut meat (chicken, pork, beef) into narrow slices. Marinate meat in sauce while preparing vegetables (peas, broccoli, etc.).

Hint: Stir-fry veggies first; remove from wok. Drain meat (save marinade) and stir-fry meat last. Then add veggies back to wok, add marinade and simmer until thickened.
