Ingredients/Components

  • boneless New York steak, cut into small chunks - 2 lb
  • onions, cut small - 2 item
  • green pepper, cut small - 1 item
  • mushrooms, peeled and cut small - 1 c
  • potatoes, peeled and cut up - 3 item
  • sticks celery, cut medium - 5 item
  • carrots, peeled and cut into oblong slices - 5 item
  • frozen peas - 1 pkg
  • water - 2 c
  • cans beef and mushroom gravy - 2 item

How to make stew:

Fry meat on higher heat, like stir-frying, until meat is no longer pink. Place the meat into a 2-quart pot. Add onions, green pepper, mushrooms, potatoes, celery, carrots and peas. Add water. Cover pot and cook over medium heat until the vegetables are cooked but not soggy. Drain off all the water. Stir gravy into the meat and vegetables. Serve over hot rolls.
