  • medium cube steaks - 4 item
  • shortening - 3 Tbsp
  • tomato sauce - 1 (15
  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • minced onion
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • soft bread crumbs - 1 c
  • chopped celery - 2 Tbsp
  • poultry seasoning - 1/4 tsp

How to make steak roll-ups:

Bread Stuffing:1 Tbsp. minced onion2 Tbsp. butter1 c. soft bread crumbs2 Tbsp. chopped celery1/4 tsp. salt1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning Cook and stir onions in butter until tender. Add bread crumbs. Heat and mix in other ingredients. Spread stuffing over cube steak. Roll and fasten with toothpicks. Brown on all sides in hot shortening. Stir in tomato sauce, sugar, salt and onions. Cover and simmer 30 to 40 minutes. Remove toothpicks before serving.
