Oven barbecued ribs
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 1/3 c
- vinegar - 1/3 c
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- paprika - 1 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 3 Tbsp
- chili powder - 1/2 tsp
- catsup - 1 c
- medium onion, thinly sliced - 1 item
- lemon, thinly sliced - 1/2 item
- pork spareribs - 4 lb
How to make oven barbecued ribs:
In Dutch oven, add salted water to ribs to cover. Cover pan and simmer until almost tender, about 1 hour. Drain and place in shallow baking pan. In saucepan, combine 1 cup water, 1/2 teaspoon salt, catsup and next 6 ingredients. Bring to boil. Cook, stirring for 5 minutes. Add onion and lemon. Cool. Spoon over ribs. Cover. Chill up to 24 hours. Bake ribs uncovered at 350° for 45 minutes. Baste often. Serves 4.Recipe categories: Meat, Pork, Kwanzaa.
