Springtime garden pilaf
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- water
- chopped fresh parsley - 1/4 c
- sliced green onions - 2 Tbsp
- sliced almonds, toasted - 1/2 c
- instant chicken bouillon - 2 Tbsp
- finely chopped carrots - 1/2 c
- uncooked long grain rice
- pinch of pepper - 1 item
- minced fresh garlic - 1/4 tsp
How to make springtime garden pilaf:
In 2-quart saucepan bring water, butter, chicken bouillon, salt, pepper and garlic to a full boil (5 to 7 minutes). Add rice and carrots; return to a full boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer until rice is tender, 25 to 30 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients. Makes eight 2/3 cup servings.Recipe categories: Side dish, Rice, Long Grain rice.
