Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • all-purpose flour - 2 Tbsp
  • brown sugar, packed - 2 Tbsp
  • dry mustard - 1/8 tsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • onion, chopped - 1/4 c
  • green pepper, chopped - 1/2 c
  • can green beans, drained - 1 oz
  • slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled, drippings reserved - 6 item
  • can whole, peeled tomatoes - 1 oz

How to make creole green beans:

Combine onion and green pepper in skillet with bacon drippings; saut?© until tender. Blend together flour, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and mustard; stir into skillet. Add tomatoes and continue to stir until mixture thickens. Add green beans and heat through; sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
