Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 Tbsp
- brown sugar, packed - 2 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 1/8 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- onion, chopped - 1/4 c
- green pepper, chopped - 1/2 c
- can green beans, drained - 1 oz
- slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled, drippings reserved - 6 item
- can whole, peeled tomatoes - 1 oz
How to make creole green beans:
Combine onion and green pepper in skillet with bacon drippings; saut?© until tender. Blend together flour, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and mustard; stir into skillet. Add tomatoes and continue to stir until mixture thickens. Add green beans and heat through; sprinkle with crumbled bacon.Recipe categories: Side dish, Main dish, Beans.
