Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 6 item
- pkg - 2 oz
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- garlic powder
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Ricotta cheese - 1 c
- 9-inch double pie crust
- Italian sausage casing removed - 1 lb
How to make spinach sausage pie:
Brown sausage, breaking up meat with a spoon; drain off fat and cool. Lightly beat eggs in a large bowl (save 1 tablespoon of egg to brush on top crust). Add cheeses, spices, spinach and sausage, mixing until well combined.Spoon into pastry-lined pie plate. Moisten edge and fit top crust. Flute edges and brush with reserved egg mixed with 1 tablespoon water. Bake at 375° for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Let stand 15 to 20 minutes before serving.
