  • eggs - 6 item
  • pkg - 2 oz
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • garlic powder
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Ricotta cheese - 1 c
  • 9-inch double pie crust
  • Italian sausage casing removed - 1 lb

How to make spinach sausage pie:

Brown sausage, breaking up meat with a spoon; drain off fat and cool. Lightly beat eggs in a large bowl (save 1 tablespoon of egg to brush on top crust). Add cheeses, spices, spinach and sausage, mixing until well combined.

Spoon into pastry-lined pie plate. Moisten edge and fit top crust. Flute edges and brush with reserved egg mixed with 1 tablespoon water. Bake at 375° for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Let stand 15 to 20 minutes before serving.
