  • fresh spinach - 1 lb
  • fresh strawberries - 1 lb
  • sugar
  • dry mustard - 1 tsp
  • vinegar - 2/3 c
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • onion juice - 3 Tbsp
  • salad oil - 2 c
  • poppy seed - 3 Tbsp

How to make spinach strawberry salad:

Poppy Seed Dressing:1 1/2 c. sugar1 tsp. dry mustard2/3 c. vinegar2 tsp. salt3 Tbsp. onion juice2 c. salad oil3 Tbsp. poppy seed Toss cleaned spinach and sliced strawberries. Before serving, toss with dressing.

For dressing, mix sugar, mustard, salt and vinegar. Add onion juice and stir thoroughly. Add oil slowly, beating constantly until thick. Add poppy seed and beat again. Makes 3 1/2 cups. Also good over fruit salad, too.
