Spinach quiche
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- half and half - 1 pt
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/8 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- grated Swiss cheese - 1 c
- frozen chopped spinach - 1 pkg
- frozen deep dish pie crust - 1 item
How to make spinach quiche:
Defrost the spinach. Squeeze out all excess water. Meanwhile, partially cook the pie crust (follow heating directions on package; about 10 minutes). Next, heat oven to 425°. In a large bowl, mix half and half, 4 beaten eggs, salt, pepper and nutmeg; mix. Spoon in spinach and combine. Sprinkle the cheese in the bottom of the partially cooked pie crust. Then pour mixture into shell. Place on a cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes at 425°, then lower heat to 350° and cook for 30 minutes or until knife comes out clean.lRecipe categories: < 60 mins, Vegetables, Vegetarian.
