Spiced macadamia nuts
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
- ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
- ground cinnamon - 2 tsp
- ground nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- salt to taste - 1 item
- Cointreau - 2 Tbsp
- Macadamia nuts* - 3/4 lb
- whole vanilla bean, finely minced optional - 1 item
How to make spiced macadamia nuts:
*Can also use pecans or almonds.In bowl, whisk oil, Cointreau and sugar. Add nuts and marinate 15 minutes. Spread nuts in baking sheet (line with foil). Toast in 350° oven 25 minutes or until golden. In a bowl, mix vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Toss hot nuts in spice mixture. Lay nuts out on paper towels to cool.
