Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt
- chopped nuts - 2/3 c
- baking powder - 1/4 tsp
- baking soda
- vegetable oil - 1 c
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- raisins - 2/3 c
- ground cloves - 1 tsp
- ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
- ground nutmeg - 1 tsp
- can pumpkin - 1 oz
- large eggs, lightly beaten - 4 item
How to make pumpkin bread:
Heat oven to 350°. Grease and flour 6 x 3 x 2-inch baking pans. Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and baking powder. Add pumpkin, oil, eggs, nuts and raisins. Stir until dry ingredients are moistened and mixture is smooth. Pour into prepared pans. Bake 60 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from pans and cool on wire racks. Wrap in plastic wrap then aluminum foil and store overnight.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Vegetables.
