Spiced lamb chops
Ingredients/Components
- allspice ground - 1/4 tsp
- nutmeg ground - 1/4 tsp
- cardamom ground - 1/4 tsp
- cinnamon ground - 1/4 tsp
- ginger powdered - 3/4 tsp
- pepper ground - 1/2 tsp
- coriander ground - 1/4 tsp
- cloves ground - 1/4 tsp
- cayenne ground - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 6 Tbsp
- mint, freshly chopped - 1 Tbsp
- parsley, freshly chopped - 1 Tbsp
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- small rib lamb chops - 16 item
- olive oil - 3 Tbsp
- mint sprigs for garnish - 6 item
- lemon slices, seeds removed for garnish - 6 item
How to make spiced lamb chops:
Mix the spices in a bowl. In another bowl, cream the butter with a fork, adding 3 teaspoons for the spice mixture, the mint and the parsley. Add garlic to the butter with the salt; mix well. Set aside to allow the flavors to mellow at room temperature.When ready to cook the lamb chops, add more of the spice mixture if needed. Fry lamb chops in butter over medium heat, until done. Remove to platter; arrange mint sprigs and lemon slices on the side of platter. Makes 4 servings.
