  • unbaked pie crust - 1 item
  • chopped pecans
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • dark corn syrup - 3/4 c
  • oatmeal - 1/2 c
  • rum flavoring - 1 tsp

How to make southern pecan pie:

Cream sugar and butter; add eggs. Mix well. Pour in syrup and flavoring. Stir in oatmeal and pecans. Pour in pie shell; bake for 1 hour at 350°. (Fifty minutes may be enough!)
