Southern pecan pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- melted butter - 1/3 c
- dark corn syrup - 1 c
- 9-inch unbaked pie shell - 1 item
- unbroken pecan halves - 1 c
How to make southern pecan pie:
Mix sugar, salt, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla and pecans. Mix slightly beaten eggs. Pour into pie shell. Bake 50 minutes to 1 hour in oven at 350° until knife inserted in center of filling comes out clean. Cool. Pie is set more for cutting when cool.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
