Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • melted butter - 1/4 c
  • pecans - 1 c
  • dark syrup - 1 c

How to make southern pecan pie:

Beat eggs. Add sugar, syrup, vanilla and salt. Mix well. Add butter and mix again. Arrange pecans in bottom of unbaked crust. Pour mixture over them. Bake in 375° oven about 1 hour. Pecans should rise to the top.
