Ingredients/Components

  • envelope yeast - 1 item
  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • warm water - 1 c
  • instant potato flakes - 4 Tbsp
  • bread flour - 1 c
  • potato flakes - 3 Tbsp
  • very warm water - 1 c
  • corn oil Mazola - 1/2 c
  • salt

How to make sourdough bread:

Mix and put in large bowl coated with corn oil; turn dough to coat with oil. Cover with damp cloth. Let set for 12 hours. Punch down dough. Let stand 15 minutes. Divide dough into 3 parts. Knead each part for 30 seconds or so. Place into 3 sprayed with Pam loaf pans. Cover with damp cloth; let set for 12 hours. Bake at 325° for 25 minutes. After turning your bread from pans while warm, spread butter over the top of your bread.
