Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- warm water
- bread flour - 4 c
- whole wheat flour - 2 c
- potato flakes - 3 Tbsp
- yeast - 2 pkg
- instant potato flakes - 3 Tbsp
- Mix 1 cup warm water, 1/2 cup sugar and 3 tablespoons instant potato flakes
How to make sourdough starter:
Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Mix 1 cup warm water, 1/2 cup sugar and 3 tablespoons instant potato flakes. Add to yeast mixture. Put in glass jar with lid. Let sit all day with lid closed.
