Sourdough biscuits
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 4 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- oil - 3/4 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 8 tsp
- warm water - 1 c
- yeast - 2 pkg
- buttermilk room temperature - 4 c
- flour more if needed - 5 c
How to make sourdough biscuits:
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, oil and room temperature buttermilk. Stir together well (be sure oil is well blended when adding flour). Add 4 cups flour and mix well. Then add 5 cups flour (more if needed), salt, baking powder and soda; mix well. Dough is ready to bake. Seal mixture in an airtight container and refrigerate!To bake, pinch off amount as needed. Bake for 20 minutes at 350°.
