- sugar - 1 c
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- mashed bananas - 3/4 c
- beaten egg - 1 item
- lemon juice, mashed in with bananas - 1 Tbsp
How to make sour cream banana bread:
Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten egg and sour cream; mix thoroughly. Add sifted dry ingredients, alternately with mashed bananas and lemon juice mixture. Pour into well-greased and floured 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes at 375°. Yields one 1-pound loaf.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Healthy.
