Sliced baked potatoes
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- melted margarine - 2 3
- Parmesan cheese
- grated Cheddar cheese - 4 Tbsp
- medium even potatoes - 4 item
- chopped fresh herbs such as: parsley, chives, sage or thyme, or 2 to 3 Tbsp - 2 3
How to make sliced baked potatoes:
Peel potatoes if the skin is tough or just scrub and rinse them. Cut potatoes into thin slices, but not all the way through. (Use a handle of a spoon on cutting board to prevent knife from cutting all the way through.) Put potatoes in a baking dish. Fan slightly. Sprinkle with salt and drizzle with margarine. Sprinkle with herbs.Bake at 425° for 50 minutes. Remove from oven. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, until lightly browned and cheeses are melted and potatoes are soft inside.
