Shrimp scampi
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- lemon juice - 2 tsp
- chopped parsley - 1/4 c
- cloves garlic, crushed - 6 item
- grated lemon peel - 2 tsp
- large raw shrimp - 2 lb
How to make shrimp scampi:
Cooking Time: 15 minutes (also can be microwaved). Temperature: 400°.Preheat oven to 400°. Remove shells from shrimp. Drain on paper towels. Melt butter in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish in oven. Add salt and garlic and 1 tablespoon parsley. Mix well. Arrange shrimp in a single layer in baking dish. Bake, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Turn shrimp. Sprinkle with lemon peel, lemon juice and remaining parsley. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or just until tender. Arrange shrimp on platter and pour garlic butter over shrimp. Serve with crusty bread to soak up butter!
