Ingredients/Components
- hamburger meat - 1 lb
- small onion, diced - 1 item
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- large Russet potatoes, cubed - 6 item
- milk - 1/4 c
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
How to make shepherd's pie:
Brown hamburger and onion. Drain meat and add mushroom soup. Simmer meat mixture. Boil potato cubes until tender. In large bowl, cream potatoes, margarine and milk. Add salt to taste. In 9-inch casserole bowl, layer meat mixture, potatoes, then shredded cheese. Preheat oven to 375°. Bake until cheese is slightly melted.Recipe categories: Main dish, Meat, Beef.
