- flour
- butter - 1/2 lb
- white sugar - 1/2 c
How to make scotch shortbread:
Cream butter and sugar together; add flour and knead with right hand until it forms a dough. Knead a little longer and press into a buttered tin. Prick top with a fork and bake at 275° to 300° for 1 hour or until a pale brown.
