- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- water - 1 c
- oil - 1/2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- flaked coconut - 1 c
- plain flour - 2 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- Icing:1 stick margarine
- sweet milk - 6 Tbsp
How to make scotch chocolate cake:
Icing:1 stick margarine1 tsp. vanilla4 Tbsp. cocoa1 c. chopped pecans6 Tbsp. sweet milk1 c. flaked coconut1 box powdered sugar For Cake: Combine sugar and flour in bowl. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup water, 1 stick margarine, oil and cocoa. Bring to a boil rapidly and pour over flour and sugar. Put soda in buttermilk, stirring well. Add buttermilk and eggs to mixture. Add vanilla. Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake 30 minutes at 400°.Icing: In a saucepan, combine margarine, cocoa and milk and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. Spread over hot cake.
