Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- milk - 2/3 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/4 c
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
How to make scones:
Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening. Add milk and egg. Place on lightly floured pastry cloth. Gently knead 20 times. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 425° for 10 to 12 minutes. Serve hot with butter and jRecipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Scones.
