Cinnamon raisin bread
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1/2 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- sifted flour
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- quick cook rolled oats
- water - 1 Tbsp
- sugar regular
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- raisins - 2 c
- powdered sugar
- milk - 1 Tbsp
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
How to make cinnamon raisin bread:
Raisin Filling:1/4 c. sugar (regular)1 Tbsp. cornstarch1 c. water2 c. raisins Cinnamon Icing:1 c. powdered sugar1 Tbsp. milk1/4 tsp. cinnamon Cream butter and brown sugar. Sift together dry ingredients. Stir into creamed mixture. Add oats and 1 tablespoon of water; mix until crumbly. Firmly pat half of mixture into a greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Spread with Raisin Filling. Mix remaining crumbs with 1 tablespoon of water. Spoon over filling and pat down. Bake in 350° oven for about 35 minutes. Cool. Drizzle with Cinnamon Icing.Raisin Filling: Combine regular sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan. Stir in water and raisins. Cook until thick. Cool.
Cinnamon Icing: Mix powdered sugar, milk and cinnamon.
