Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- margarine - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- coarse soft bread crumbs - 4 c
- cans tomatoes, drained and cut up - 2 oz
How to make scalloped tomatoes:
Saute onions in margarine until tender. Stir in bread crumbs, sugar, salt and pepper. Set aside. Arrange half of the tomatoes in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Top with half of crumb mixture. Repeat layers. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Kosher.
