- butter or margarine - 1 item
- cream - 8 Tbsp
- pepper - 1 item
- oyster liquid - 1 item
- small stewing oysters - 1 qt
- saltines small squares - 60 item
How to make scalloped oysters:
Break 20 crackers into fourths; layer in bottom of casserole. Arrange half of the oysters on top. Dot with butter or margarine; sprinkle with pepper. Repeat the layer. Arrange remaining crackers. Dot with butter. Mix cream and oyster liquid together; pour over all. Refrigerate 1 hour. Preheat oven to 400°.
