Scalloped oysters
Ingredients/Components
- half and half - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- melted butter - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- pint small oysters - 1 item
- cracker crumbs, medium coarse - 2 c
- oyster liquor - 1/4 c
How to make scalloped oysters:
Drain oysters, save liquor. Combine cracker crumbs, butter, salt and pepper. Spread 1/3 of cracker crumbs in oiled casserole dish. Cover with 1/2 of the oysters. Spread a second layer of the crumbs. Cover with remaining oysters. Combine cream, oyster liquor and Worcestershire. Pour over oysters. Top with the last of the crumbs.
