Scalloped oysters
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- cracker crumbs - 3 c
- oysters - 1 qt
- oyster juice - 1 c
How to make scalloped oysters:
Melt 1 stick margarine. Add flour, oyster juice and milk to make a white sauce.Mix cracker crumbs with the other stick of melted margarine. Put 1/3 cracker mixture in bottom of shallow baking dish. Cover with oysters. Sprinkle with cracker crumbs. Cover with half the sauce. Repeat layers and cover with crumbs. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes.
