Savory corn bake
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- eggs, separated - 2 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- self-rising flour - 3/4 c
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- chopped bell pepper - 1/2 c
- can creamed corn - 15 oz
- bacon, cooked and crumbled - 8 oz
- corn meal - 2 Tbsp
How to make savory corn bake:
Combine milk and egg yolks; blend well. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. Add flour, corn meal, baking powder and pepper. Beat until smooth. Stir in green pepper, corn and bacon. Beat until smooth. In a small bowl, beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry; fold into corn mixture. Pour into a greased 2-quart casserole.
