Sausage gravy
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 9 c
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- flour
- pepper - 1/4 Tbsp
- fresh sage sausage - 2 lb
How to make sausage gravy:
Fry and chop the sausage. Add flour and brown. If sausage is dry, you may need to add shortening when adding flour. Add salt and pepper; stir well. Add milk; heat to boiling point and reduce heat. Simmer for a few minutes, stirring constantly. Makes approximately 2 1/2 quarts gravy.Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, Breakfast, Pork.
