Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • water - 1/2 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • hot cooked rice - 2 c
  • envelope onion soup mix - 1 item
  • stewed tomatoes - 1 can
  • beef sirloin, cut into thin strips - 1 lb

How to make saucy beef over rice:

Preheat oven to 350°. Shake flour in 1 (14 x 20-inch) oven bag. Place in baking pan. Add undrained tomatoes, soup mix, water and pepper to bag. Turn bag to coat beef with sauce. Arrange ingredients in even layer. Close bag. Cut 1/2-inch slits in top. Bake until beef is tender, 40 to 45 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
