Salted peanut chews



  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • egg yolks - 2 item
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • baking soda - 1/4 tsp
  • firmly packed brown sugar - 2/3 c
  • corn syrup
  • Rice Krispies - 2 c
  • margarine - 1/4 c
  • 12 oz - 2 c
  • soft margarine - 1/2 c
  • mini marshmallows - 3 c
  • salted peanuts - 2 c

How to make salted peanut chews:

Topping:2/3 c. corn syrup1/4 c. margarine2 tsp. vanilla2 c. (12 oz.) peanut butter chips2 c. Rice Krispies2 c. salted peanuts3 c. mini marshmallows Heat oven to 350°. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. In large bowl, combine all ingredients until mixture forms. Press in bottom of ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately sprinkle 3 cups miniature marshmallows. Return to oven 1 1/2 minutes or until marshmallows are puffed. Cool crust while you make topping.

In large saucepan, heat corn syrup, margarine, vanilla and peanut butter chips until melted and mixture is smooth, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in Rice Krispies and salted peanuts. Immediately spoon over marshmallows and spread to cover. Chill. Cut into 36 bars.
