Salted peanut chews
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- egg yolks - 2 item
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- firmly packed brown sugar - 2/3 c
- corn syrup
- Rice Krispies - 2 c
- miniature marshmallows - 3 c
- oleo - 1/2 c
- cocktail peanuts - 2 c
How to make salted peanut chews:
Topping:2/3 c. corn syrup1/4 c. oleo2 tsp. vanilla1 (12 oz.) pkg. peanut butter chips2 c. Rice Krispies2 c. cocktail peanuts In large bowl mix all ingredients, except miniature marshmallows, until a crumb mixture. Press in bottom of ungreased 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.Immediately sprinkle with miniature marshmallows. Return to oven for 2 minutes until marshmallows begin to puff. Cool.
Topping: Heat first 4 ingredients until smooth. Remove from heat; add cereal and nuts. Immediately spoon over crust; cover. Chill and cut into bars.
