Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • butter - 1 item
  • water - 1/2 c
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
  • minced onion - 2 Tbsp
  • dry bread crumbs - 1/4 c
  • finely chopped celery - 1/4 c

How to make salisbury steak:

Combine meat, celery, bread crumbs, egg, salt, pepper and onion. Shape into oval patties 1-inch thick. Brown on both sides in butter in a skillet. Combine soup and water, then pour around meat. Cook slowly in covered skillet for 25 minutes. Serves 6.
