  • hamburger
  • can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
  • chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • fine dry bread crumbs - 1/2 c
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • water - 1/3 c

How to make salisbury steak:

Mix hamburger with 1/4 cup soup. Add onion, bread crumbs, egg, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly. Shape into six patties. Put in baking dish and bake for 30 minutes at 350°. Remove from oven and spoon off excess grease. Now, combine remaining soup with water and pour over steaks. Return to oven for an additional 10 minutes.
