Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 qt
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 1/8 lb
- water - 1 c
- raisins - 1/2 c
- slightly beaten eggs - 2 item
- Carolina rice - 1/2 c
How to make rice pudding:
Put rice in water with salt. Cook 7 minutes. Stir occasionally. Add milk, butter and vanilla. Simmer slowly 1/2 hour, covered lightly. Add sugar and raisins. Cook slowly 5 to 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Add eggs. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Refrigerate until thickened.Recipe categories: Desserts, Puddings and mousses, Rice.
