Rhubarb torte
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 c
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- egg yolks - 4 item
- butter - 1/2 c
- rhubarb, diced - 4 c
- egg whites - 4 item
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
How to make rhubarb torte:
Mix flour, sugar, salt, butter and 2 egg yolks. Put in a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Mix rhubarb, flour, 2 cups sugar and 2 egg yolks. Put on crust and bake 30 to 35 minutes.Use 4 egg whites, 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla for meringue. Beat until stiff. Spread on top of rhubarb layer. Return to oven and bake until meringue is lightly browned.
