  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1/3 c
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • egg yolks - 2 item
  • buttermilk - 2 c
  • egg whites - 2 item
  • pie shell - 1 item

How to make buttermilk pie:

Mix flour and sugar. Add butter and egg yolks. Stir in gradually the buttermilk, vanilla and salt. Fold in egg whites. Pour into a 9-inch pie shell. Bake at 375° for 45 to 60 minutes or until a knife comes out clean. Pie should be lightly browned.
