- sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/3 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- egg yolks - 2 item
- buttermilk - 2 c
- egg whites - 2 item
- pie shell - 1 item
How to make buttermilk pie:
Mix flour and sugar. Add butter and egg yolks. Stir in gradually the buttermilk, vanilla and salt. Fold in egg whites. Pour into a 9-inch pie shell. Bake at 375° for 45 to 60 minutes or until a knife comes out clean. Pie should be lightly browned.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
