Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- bay leaf - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- bell pepper - 1/4 c
- cans tomatoes - 2 item
- dash of cayenne pepper - 1 item
- smoked sausage - 1 lb
- cans red beans - 2 item
How to make red beans and rice:
In a large skillet, saute onion, celery and bell pepper in butter. Remove from skillet. Cut sausage in 1/4-inch rounds and brown on both sides. Return sauteed vegetables to pan. Add beans, tomatoes and all other ingredients. Simmer about 1 hour, stirRecipe categories: Pork, Beans, Rice.
