Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- stick butter - 1/2 item
- cooking oil
- white corn syrup - 1 Tbsp
- diced, tart, peeled apples - 3 c
- Bake about 30 minutes in 350° oven
How to make raw apple cake:
Mix all together until just blended and turn into greased and lightly floured pan (14 x 8 x 2-inch). Bake about 30 minutes in 350° oven. Can be baked in loaf pan for 50 minutes. Pour over the sauce while hot.Sauce:1 c. brown sugar1 c. buttermilk1 tsp. soda1/2 stick butter1 tsp. vanilla1 Tbsp. white corn syrup Mix and cook over medium heat to soft ball stage.
