Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- milk
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- chopped, raw apples - 2 c
How to make raw apple bread:
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside. In a large bowl, cream the shortening, 1 cup of sugar and eggs. Blend in flour mixture. Add apples, milk, vanilla and nuts. Pour into greased loaf pans.Mix together 3 teaspoons sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over batter. Bake in a 350° oven for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center.
